This switching will be felt as a lighter or heavier &#8220;jerking movement&#8221; of the engine.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Does the new controller model eliminate the problem of jerking when the cylinders are deactivated?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes. The STAG 400 DPI model B3 eliminates this problem. We have developed a solution in which we use the electrical signals of the ACT mechanism and are able to eliminate the feeling of cylinder deactivation.\r\n\r\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this purpose, the B3 STAG 400 DPI uses additional circuits on the controller and additional inputs, which must be connected via two additional wires to the corresponding circuits of the ACT system. By connecting the controller in this way, and together with dedicated software, the transitions from 4-cylinder to 2-cylinder mode while running on gas will be smooth and unnoticeable, just like when using gasoline.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stag400.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/OctaviaACT.jpg\" alt=\"OctaviaACT\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Skoda Octavia with 1.5 TSI engine equipped with Active Cylinder Technology.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>It sounds complicated. The fitter will have to make unconventional connections, remember unusual configurations\u2026<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Not really. The workshop receives a standardized annex with detailed assembly instructions. In contrast, in STAG-400 DPI, the basic configuration is hardcoded in the controller&#8217;s software and associated with a given engine code. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>And what does this mean in practice?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, the fact that a non-standard injection sequence, for example, for the VW DADA code (1.5 TSI) will be configured automatically during auto-calibration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Does the B3 model STAG 400 DPI controller retain all the features of previous models? Can they be mounted interchangeably? &nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The B3 model is equipped with all the features of its predecessor plus the already-discussed ACT support along with the new 1.5TSI engine codes which this new solution requires.  In addition, we have improved the design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In summary, the B3 is fully compatible with the B2 model, replacing replace it. That&#8217;s why we used the designation STAG 400 DPI model B in our engine code list\u2026 &#8211; this means that these models can be used interchangeably. Our target is to completely replace the older version with a new solution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong>Is this model of controller particularly recommended for certain car models?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our new solution is developed exclusively for 4-cylinder engines in VAG cars equipped with the ACT system.
